Our Opportunity:

An amazing opportunity is now available for an experienced Inventory Controller to join the team based at our  Chipping Norton Office ;to become vital key members in the Daikin team.Reporting to the Procurement Manager this role is responsible for executing inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock holding and to manage re-ordering/ re-stocking at optimal times Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Liaise and plan with approved vendors to arrange accurate and timely deliveries of raw material and stock components against purchase orders/ stock transfer orders to ensure that ongoing service levels are met.
  • Responsible for managing and running planned stocktakes and cycle counts. This also includes managing shortages, excess and ageing stocks, and all inventory anomalies.
  • Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved
  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to determine delivery requirements
  • Responsible for adherence to company policies, quality management processes and objectives and OH&S requirements.

The Right Person:

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:

  • Minimum 2+ years of solid experience in an import/ export role within a manufacturing environment with strong exposure to comfortably use SAP R/3 MM
  • Strong knowledge of customs import and export procedures including but not limited to tariff codes, duty and general freight terminology.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge- must be comfortable with Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and complex formulas. 
  • High sense of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills- being written and verbal
  • A belief in Daikin's values and philosophies
