Our client is a well-established, dynamic global contractor who are currently seeking a Procurement Officer to work with them. Based in Sydney, this is specialist contractor who have a strong focus on facade engineering and installation.

The Role

The client is looking to hear from motivated and proactive candidates who have experience working in administration in the infrastructure industry and who have exposure to procurement. The successful candidate will work within the procurement team, providing support to the procurement department manager.

What you’ll do:

• Bring your procurement exposure to enable timely purchasing of good and equipment to meet the needs of project schedules
• Use your natural, confident communication style to effectively manage interpersonal relationships with clients
• Prepare documents for the tender process
• Generate regular reports and distribute them to the procurement department manager
• Utilise your excellent research skills to find services and goods for purchase
• Attend project meetings

What you’ll need:

• Experience in a procurement officer role In the infrastructure industry
• Ability to effectively communicate both in verbal and written form
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
• Keen eye for detail and level of accuracy
• An approachable and friendly attitude
• Experience using SAP and Microsoft Package
• Current Drivers License
• Experience dealing with local, national and international suppliers
• Previous Australian procurement experience
