An excellent opportunity exists for a switched on, motivated and focused individual to join this highly successful business in the role of Distribution Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing teams of contractors.
The Role
Your role as Distribution Manager will include but not be limited to:
- Constant travel throughout NSW and QLD (away for at least 3 months at a time)
- Managing a phone directory distribution in a designated area and time frame.
- Instructing groups of contractors on delivery rules and methods
- Supervise inventory management and stock control of the Distribution
- Daily quality control checks on contractors
- Submitting status reports to head office
- Ensure all OH&S requirements are adhered to
- Doing deliveries yourself and other duties as required by head office
You
As the successful applicant you will have the following attributes:
- An ability to instruct and oversee teams of contractors
- Previous experience in training and managing staff.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to
- Lead by example
- Possess outstanding communication skills
- Have the initiative and drive to go the extra mile
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work to strict deadlines under pressure
- Forklift licence
- Able to travel interstate for at least 3 months at a time.
- Applicants will be required to consent to a Police Check.
- Suits people who have no dependants due to the travelling commitments.
