We are now looking for a Manufacturing Manager to lead the Dandenong South site Operations team, a team who is passionate and committed to its brands and people.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Reporting and providing support to the Site Manaager, you will play a leading role in the day to day activity across processing and packaging to ensure timely delivery of product to schedule and specification. Through your effective leadership, you will implement continuous improvement initiatives in the areas of workplace safety, expenditure and people management. You will also promote a positive customer service culture by delivering service excellence to both internal and external customers focusing on the optimum utilization of resources.
Your strong communication and conflict resolution skills will see you through this challenging role. You will have highly developed organisational, time management and administrative skills as well as a demonstrated ability to identify and implement business improvement opportunities.
The successful applicant must be committed to driving operations to best practice, must be energetic and visionary with excellent motivational and people skills.
Your pro-active, hands-on leadership style complemented by a professional work ethic will inspire the team to reach higher goals.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this position, you must have:
- Experience in the dairy\food industry essential with solid FMCG industry and logistics knowledge;
- Sound influencing and relationship management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate people;
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop employees;
- Proven skills and experience associated with managing a heavy industrial or manufacturing site, including strong exposure to both the production, maintenance and warehousing dimensions of an operation;
- Superior analytical and problem solving ability;
- Excellent project management and interpersonal/communication skills;
- Sound ability to effectively manage costs;
- Demonstrated ability to develop & implement improvement initiatives;
- Negotiation and change management skills;
- Experience and knowledge with industry compliance requirements
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and OHS is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in championing best practice
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in the Manufacturing, Engineering or Science fields is desirable
