Our client is a very well established international logistics company. They offer a full range of supply chain services to include air and ocean freight forwarding, customs clearance, 3PL, and national transport and distribution. Business is booming and they feel this would be a fantastic time to add to their lovely Melbourne team! Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will see you getting involved in all aspects of operations and customer service for a portfolio of import and export clients. Key duties will include:

  • Purchase order management
  • Arranging bookings
  • Organising cartage
  • Registering jobs using Cargowise 1
  • Liaising with overseas agents and offices
  • Choosing the best transport options for your clients
  • Liaising with your customers to answer their inquiries and keep them posted on the status of their shipments

To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Recent experience handling import sea freight operations within an international forwarding environment
  • Good computer skills (ideally in Cargowise 1 or similar)
  • A friendly, helpful, customer focused attitude, and the ability to work well in a team environment
