This full time role is with a leading resource recovery organisation that has attracted international attention as a benchmark for environmental processes relating to the diversion of household waste from landfill.
About the role
This key position involves the applicant managing the inventory system to facilitate planned maintenance schedules. The postion will primarily have the following responsibilities:
- Maintaining a computerised stores system
- Managing the stores inventory and spare parts
- Liaiseing with the maintenance team for work planning requirements
- Purchasing and co-ordinating with suppliers in an efficient and timely manner
- Compiling audits and stock reports to assist in the preparation of maintenance budgets
- Control documentation for both receiving goods and issuing parts
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally having the following key attributes:
- Previous experience with ERP systems, along with the ability to learn new computer software systems
- Good organisational skills with the ability to successfully prioritise work and use initiative
- Experience operating a forklift
- Previous exposure to manufacturing or engineering environments
- Good Communication skills
