As the Production and Inventory Manager you will be an integral part of our production team. Working together to manage the production process from purchase order placement to receipt of finished goods, despatch and distribution. Co-ordinate and implement processes in the development of offshore, local and off the shelf products.
You will be responsible for ordering, data entry, and technical management of apparel and accessory supplies, ensuring timelines and inventory management across our e-commerce platform are managed and maintained to maximum efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing processes to ensure, development of production supplies and delivery align with business objectives.
- Raising purchase orders, creating timelines & managing on-time delivery.
- Manage Quality Control during production, and manage internal and external quality control of goods received.
- Record keeping, reconciling with documentation for finance department.
- Liaise with internal staff re; inbound shipments and receipting goods into warehouse.
- Timely notification of any delays to sales & internal staff to manage solutions for stock outages.
- Accurate data entry of all stock received or transferred.
- Running & analysing weekly reports re stock levels; forecasting & identifying styles to re-stock, transfer & maintaining stock for website sales.
- Supervise and assist with stock distribution and despatch.
The applicant should have the following skills:
- Experience in similar role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with a strong, professional work ethic
- Organisation and time management skills
- Ability to learn and work with Indigo8 our Fashion Software provider
- Must have good interpersonal and problem solving skills
To be successful you must have 5 years’ experience in a production or purchasing role within the uniform or fashion industry, managing offshore production experience is essential.
Clothing construction, fabric & manufacturing knowledge is expected.
Experience forecasting sales data & stock inventory management is required.
Microsoft Excel proficiency is a must, along with good mathematical ability & a passion for organisation & details.
The ability to write & implement department processes is essential.
This is an autonomous position requiring the successful candidate to be entirely responsible for this departments planning and outcomes.
