We are a long term family company in the structural steel, metalwork and metal finishing industry.  We are currently seeking to fill the position of a CNC Operator.

The role includes the following responsibilities: 

• Operate the CNC machinery, processing structural steel
• Maintain machinery, systems and quality records
• Demonstrate operational compliance with procedures and WHS safety standards
• Be responsible for keeping machine workloads balanced maximising production

The following experience would be of benefit:

• A working knowledge of Excel
• 2-3 years industry experience working CNC processing machinery.
• Experience working processing machines.
• Must possess basic maths skills.
• Computer literacy in the use of CNC software. CAD/ CAM / MRP programming experience is preferable.
• Ability to follow sequences, load, unload and sort material.
• Ability to trouble shoot minor faults and perform Preventative Maintenance procedures.
• Maintain logs of production and quality records in accordance with ISO 9001 policies and project specifications.
• Must be physically fit due to manual handling requirements.
• Current Drivers Licence
