Based at the Warehouse in Ermington, a great opportunity exists for a hands-on Warehouse/ Logistics Manager to lead a team through inventory management, supply chain logistics and some basic manufacturing/ assembly.
About the Company
Our client is a leading D & C Fire Protection company offering quality, integrated Construction, Service and Maintenance solutions to Australia’s largest construction businesses and clients. They are now seeking to appoint a Warehouse/ Logistics Manager to cater for an influx of high level, project works, which includes 3 of NSW’s current and largest (flagship), infrastructure projects.
About the Role
The Warehouse/ Logistics Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all Warehouse activities including:
Operations
- Lead a small team of 3-4 staff
- Distribution planning & programming
- Oversee WHS standards and requirements for facility
Logistics
- Inbound Inventory – unload, receipt, catalogue & storage of raw goods
- Planning, preparing and understanding of inventory pathway/s
- Local & interstate delivery management and distribution of finished goods
Assembly
- Coordination of some basic assembly and staff
- Oversee Production supervisor and line
You Will Bring
- Experience in a Logistics Operations or Warehousing Management Role with a solid base in inventory and stock management.
- Proven success utilising technology and processes to create a competitive advantage
- A strong desire to develop a genuine partnership with clients by exceeding their expectations.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to develop relationships at all levels of industry
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to gather, interpret and share information effectively
- The ability to prioritise and work within tight deadlines juggling competing priorities
- Dependable and Positive Team Player with leadership, motivational and influencing capabilities
