About the business
A plastic manufacturer on Sydney's Northern Beaches is currently seeking a Despatch / Forklift driver for their Brookvale factory.
About the role
This is a demanding role for a proven forklift operator who possesses attention to detail and the right attitude. Working within a small team environment, you will be given support in your role . The right candidate will be willing to assist with manual assembly activities and other warehousing responsibilities. Looking after the day to day Packing, Despatch and Receiving, together with loading and unloading of trucks, this is a busy, but rewarding role.
Benefits and perks
Hours are 7am – 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday, 7am – 12:00 Friday. So you get to have a "half" day on Friday (39Hrs/Week)
Skills and experience
Palletise large and bulky plastic moulded products, and load onto trucks.
Receive and check quality and quantity of incoming goods
Operate forklift safely to lift, place and move items in and around factory
Record information, such as product details and dates of despatch production.
Other factory tasks as required by the Supervisor
You will require :
- Valid LF Forklift licence.
- Experience operating a Counterbalance forklift truck.
- Manual Car Drivers licence (Desirable)
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and reliable.
- Physically fit and able to lift or move heavy objects.
- CAN-DO approach, and willingness to learn.
The successful factory despatch forklift driver / storeman should be able to provide at least 2 work references and be available for an immediate start.
You need the right to work full-time and permanently in Australia.
