An exciting opportunity has now become available for a Paper Bag Machine Setter and Printer. This is an integral role supporting the floor manager to achieve our daily targets through efficient machine setup, changeovers and overseeing the operation.
Our Head Office, and this position, is based in Dandenong, Melbourne. There are already plans in place for a rapid expansion to other states in the near future, and there is a great potential for the successful candidate to develop and grow with the Group.
Preferred Skills
- Machine Setter with experience preferably in the packaging, envelope and/or printing industry
- Sound problem solving skills
- Forklift License Essential
- Good written and verbal skills in English
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and accountable
- Sound planning and organisational skills
- Flexible to change
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the quality, accuracy, timeframes, waste and paperwork requirements of allocated machines.
- Ensuring machines and labour are being utilised as effeciently as possible.
- Consistently ensure housekeeping tasks are completed as required
- Keeping Management informed of any problems or possible improvements.
- Provide Ongoing support to other Fitters and Operators
Hours of work are: Mon-Thur 6.30am-4.30pm
