LawrieCo is an Australian owned crop nutritional company that focusses on healthy soils, plants and animals. We produce liquid and solid fertilisers and use a technology that increases soil quality and farm productivity by balancing nutrition and biology into conventional farming systems.

LawrieCo are looking for a highly motivated person with experience in warehousing and machinery operation to coordinate our warehouse and assist with production.

• Full time position
• Experience in inventory, stocktaking and warehousing procedures.
• Knowledge of safe work practices in using machinery and lifting goods.
• Chemical handling experience with hazardous goods.

Highly motivated with a strong customer focus, attention to detail, an ability to multi task and work as part of a small team are vital for success in this role.

Warehouse duties will include:

• Prompt and accurate processing and dispatch of orders.
• Ensuring correctness of goods in and out.
• Manage warehouse under BioSecurity guidelines for approved arrangement of imported goods.
• Manage support staff and casual warehouse staff.
• Product sampling and assistance with IQMAT quality control systems.
• Occupational Health and Safety for warehouse operations.
• Resolve simple problems, with more complex problems being referred timely to the Technical Manager.
• Manage storage of organically registered goods under registration guidelines.
• Ensuring the warehouse and stock layout, is functional and efficient.

Production / Manufacturing duties will include:

• Under guidance, assist in liquid fertilizer production working to batch records and SOP’s.
• Decant liquid goods from bulk.
• Assist with quality control of inhouse manufactured goods.
• Assist with quality control of inhouse manufactured goods.
• Manage production of animal lick block products.
• Reporting and rectification of any product issues.

Required Skills

• Working knowledge of inventory, stocktaking and warehousing procedures.
• Knowledge of safe work practices in using machinery and lifting goods.
• Workplace health & safety focused.
• Strong computer skills on MS Office Suite.
• Ability to comprehend and carry out procedures as assigned.
• Ability to load and unload goods efficiently and without damage.
• Good physical abilities for heavy lifting.
• Forklift licence.
• Drivers licence.

Preferred Skills

• Dangerous goods, liquid and solid chemical handling and storage experience.
• Experience handling bulk liquids with pumps and hoses.
• Enter & work in confined space certificate.
• Biosecurity Awareness and Approved Arrangements for Accredited Persons certificates
• Chemical packing/operations.
• Ability to manage an inventory system.
• A general interest in agriculture.
