THE COMPANY
Gradco is recognised as an industry leader within the civil construction, mining, transport and logistics sectors, with a successful history spanning more than 60 years.
We are currently seeking a Bulk Logistics Manager to work closely with our existing team.
This is a fast-paced role that requires complex problem-solving, the ability to build long-term relationships with clients, whilst responding to enquiries and coordinating jobs to optimise fleet utilisation.
Proven leadership capabilities including the effective co-ordination, supervision and mentoring of Truck Drivers is fundamental, along with strong planning and analytical skills. The ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and strict deadlines is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate the daily coordination of the bulk logistics fleet to optimise delivery of our services to internal/external customers
- Develop and foster relationships with existing customers whilst also seeking to continually identify and secure new opportunities
- Execute the sales, delivery and invoicing function of quarry materials to new and existing customers
- Coordinate & prioritise a high volume of correspondence from internal/external customers to ensure excellent service outcomes are achieved
- Utilise in-house software to allocate new jobs, and maintain rates/material schedules
- Assume a lead role in the promotion of a zero-harm workplace
ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Demonstrated experience within a quarry, transport/logistics planning environment
- Demonstrated experience in managing operational resources to meet customer requirements efficiently
- Ability to identify opportunities and solutions that will enable effective planning and continuous improvement
- Highly developed communication skills that enable effective communication between employees, contractors, internal management and clients
- Proficiency in the operations of Microsoft office
- Knowledge of Mass Management & Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Demonstrated business acumen and knowledgeable in business policies and practices
- An understanding of quarry products (desirable)
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and a results-orientated approach
