The Company
My client has been operating in the joinery industry for over 20 years and has long standing clients where relationships have been built on reputation. They are currently looking for a Production Manager for their factory near Parramatta. They are a mid sized, family led company who have secured work for 2018 and have seen year on year growth. They hope to continue this growth for 2018 and beyond and to do so require a solid infrastructure of staff. You will be led by an experienced and hands on management team. The company only specialise in supply and so completion of operations is once the product is manufactured.
The Role
As Production Manager, you will be able to see the big picture and be a master at prioritising. This is an off the tools role and you will be responsible for all workshop operations and ensure work is programmed and completed on time to the exceptional quality that the company produce. You will also be consistently communicating with the design and sales teams, ensuring all requirements are met and are done so efficiently and effectively. You will also be instrumental in managing the workshop staff and their work load and organising additional labour if/when required.
To be successful for this opportunity you will need the following skills and attributes:
- Production Management background
- Previous Factory/Production Manager experience desirable or ready to step up to a new challenge
- Ability to manage staff and delegate
- Knowledge of Joinery industry is preferred but not essential
- Be approachable and be able to demonstrate effective communication skills
- Computer literate and have full understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
