About the role
Redpath are seeking a Junior Yardsperson to join us at our Brisbane Plant Yard at Eagle Farm. It is the responsibility of the Yardsperson to ensure that the housekeeping in and around the Plant yard is kept to the highest possible level at all times and to ensure all consumable stores are maintained and reordered when required. The role would be suitable for a recent school leaver who has an interest in mechanical work and heavy machinery.
Duties
/ Unload and load trucks carrying freight to and from the yard;
/ Make sure the yard consumables are managed;
/ Maintain the lay down area to ensure it is kept in a tidy and usable state at all times;
/ Coordinate pickups and deliveries;
/ Ensure housekeeping around workshop and office is kept at a good standard;
/ Perform basic maintenance and ad hoc duties around the Plant Yard and Brisbane Office;
/ Conduct stocktakes.
Skills & Experience
/ Current Manual Driver’s Licence;
/ Excellent time management skills;
/ The ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised;
/ A work ethic in keeping with Redpath's motto Consider it done.
