This newly created role will report to the CEO of this medium sized business, work closely with the senior leadership team in sales, finance, operations and innovation and will play a significant role in supporting and helping drive all facets of this company’s strategic growth plan. Location: Sydney Western Suburbs/just off the M7.
Being a new role, you will help create and develop this function at a time when the business is primed and ready for growth locally, regionally and internationally. The CEO will give you a broad brief to analyse, report on and make recommendations on a range of current and future expansion opportunities that will span brands, new products, categories and markets, pricing initiatives, competitors, distribution partners and export market development – the full spectrum of the commercial process. Key recommendations will be supported by reporting that is detailed and financially modelled in some instances. Given the size of this business, you will have a key operational role to play as project initiatives are rolled out. This is clearly not a “back room” role so we are looking for someone interested in a visible, accountable and participatory position.
We see this very interesting and impactful role having real appeal to a relevant tertiary qualified person coming from a similar business/commercial role in a corporate/business environment where they have been engaged in all aspects of growth and business expansion. Whilst experience working in either animal or human pharma would be ideal, we will look for those with a good understanding of commercial, sales, distribution, export, brand and new product development issues along with the interest and capacity to learn and understand the animal health industry. The role requires initiative and drive and a genuine ability to communicate and work effectively with others. Above all, your analytical and problem-solving skills will be first class, you can multi task and you deliver on deadlines.
