A global organization is currently seeking an analytics leader to solve business problems using sophisticated analytical techniques, providing key decision makers with a pathway to an evidence-based strategy, combined with the execution support to deliver results.
As a Director of Analytics, you role will be working with clients to provide advisory solutions such as data analytic modelling, data driven business intelligence, audit analytics, fraud or suspicious transaction analysis, business process assurance analytics (e.g. payroll, procurement or vendor analytics), data visualisations/ dashboarding & predictive analytics. This will also include achievement of financial and growth objectives along with customer satisfaction within the risk portfolio.
Key Responsibilities -
- Plan, design, and implement analytical solutions that deliver and analyze information efficiently for complex issues.
- Develop plans supporting the overall business strategy of the advisory function to expand footprint and increase revenue growth.
- Lead proposal development and communication with clients focussing on one or multiple advisory solutions
- Grow and develop a team of analytics professionals that is able to solve complex problems, but also translate that into business insight.
- Ensures analytics rigor in all areas of the business
Skills and Experience -
- Experience in data-mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate
- Experience with SAS/SQL/R.
- Extensive analytics experience in a commercial environment with background in risk/ finance / fraud & forensics/Insurance or related domains.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to assess a situation quickly, determine the correct strategy, and address situation immediately
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and situations - successfully manage responsibilities to ensure that stakeholder commitments are met
- Ability to resolve complex situations or problems by defining a strategy, often involving cross-functional teams and leading a collaboration effort through resolution
- Tertiary qualifications in quantitative discipline - mathematics, statistics, engineering, information technology or another related degree
