Camco Engineering is currently seeking a Health, Safety and Environment coordinator to work as a part of the Oil and Gas and Mining team.The role requires a candidate who is dynamic, self-motivated and has the ability to manage the HSE requirements across various sites.
The Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator is responsible for supporting the HSEQ Manager in the continuous improvement of the Health, Safety and Environment management System across Camco's Oil and Gas and Mining Operations which are predominately site based.
Duties will include:
- Liaise with Client health, Safety, and Environment Personnel;
- Monitoring HSE systems and processes and verifying compliance to legislative requirements;
- Conduct audits , interactions, inspections and verification that work performed under the scope of work is conducted safely in compliance to legislation and the management plan both on site and in Perth;
- Expection of working on various remote sites for a week on a monthly basis;
- Consult with and provide HSE Information to Site Supervisor;
- Assist in the completion of the Health, Safety and Environmental sections of quotes and tenders;
- Site work training and qualification compliance for Oil and Gas and Mining;
- Development, implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality risk registers;
- Conduct investigations of all serious incidents to determine root cause and reporting to management;
- Support project managers in the implementation of HSE Management Plans across the business.
- Assist in the development of the Annual Health Safety, Environment and Quality plan.
- Scoping and implementing planned improvement projects;
This role would suit a candidate with a minimum of 5 years' experience as an OHS professional. It is essential that the candidate hold as a minimum a Graduate Certificate in OHS with experience working in an operational environment. Experience conducting and developing Training and Induction programs will be viewed favourably.
