Based in Olympic Dam and reporting to maintenance supervisor, the successful candidate will be involved in the environment program and break down repairs of mobile equipment. This role will work in compliance with the Work Health and Safety and Environment legislation and standards.
- Experience in servicing earth moving equipment and highway trucks, we have (Mack, Western Star, Caterpillar, Volvo, Hitachi, John Deere to name a few)
- Skills to complete all major repairs as required e.g engines, power trains, cooling system and electrical;
- excellent diagnostic skills;
- Attention to detail and keeping good records of defects and work preformed on machines.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following qualifications, experience and attributes.
- Qualified diesel mechanic
- Previous site experience desirable
- A strong focus on safety.
- Forklift licence is an advantage.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Good communication.
- Good record and house keeping skills.
- Passion for operational excellence, safety and self-improvement.
- You must be willing to undergo a medical and drug and alcohol test.
- Identifying/ problem solving skills.
