About the role
In order to achieve our vision of becoming a "market leading diversified underground mining services partner", we are now seeking appropriately qualified and experienced Mining Engineers at several of Pit N Portal's sites in the WA Goldfields across a variety of roles and rosters.
In addition to company-provided training and mentoring, these roles will provide future career development opportunities in an exciting and dynamic company. Candidates with initiative and underground practical experience will be viewed favourably.
Planning Engineer:
Reporting to the Underground Manager in our Technical Services team, this crucial role will allow you to make a real impact to the operation and our client's growth strategy. With a complex orebody and a variety of stoping methods, your technical skills and abilities with Deswik, Studio5D and EPS will be supported by solid exposure to underground mining which includes practical experience.
Production Engineer:
Reporting to our client Underground Manager, this role allows you to get in on the ground floor at a new operation. You'll be exposed to all aspects of production and mine planning, supported by our onsite Operations team and our Technical Services personnel in Perth. These are multi-faceted roles where you will gain exposure across development, production and project engineering activities.

We offer competitive remuneration along with training and development opportunities. Dependant on the candidate and the site, we offer flexibility with roles including 2/2 and 8/6 rosters along with FIFO, DIDO/BIBO or residential options.
Skills and experience
To become part of the Pit N Portal team, the ideal candidates will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
- 5+ years' experience (Planning Engineer) or
- 2+ years' experience (Production Engineer)
- Solid knowledge of Deswik.CAD, Deswich.SCHED & Deswik UGDB
- Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to influence and make positive changes
- Well-developed planning, time management and problem solving skills
- Applied First Aid Certificate
