The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is now available for an Auto Electrician in the Service Department at our Gladstone branch. Reporting to the Service Supervisor, the purpose of the role is to carry out maintenance and repairs on mining equipment and ensure excellent customer service. The role plays an integral part in ensuring high levels of safety, quality and efficiency are given to the Komatsu Gladstone Branch.
 
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical understanding of the design and function of Komatsu equipment. You will be responsible for machine diagnostics and repairs, as well as testing and adjusting of machine operation and monitoring systems utilising relevant literature and testing equipment. Additionally, work will involve participation in equipment overhauls and the use of Komatsu operating programs to generate technical and service reports.
 
The knowledge, skills and abilities we're looking for

• Relevant Trade Certificate – Automotive Electrical
  
• Current Driver's Licence
  
• Must have extensive knowledge of the repair and maintenance of earthmoving equipment
  
• High level of organizational and interpersonal skills including exception customer service
  
• A demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work unsupervised
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good understanding of computer systems
