About the Role
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Steep Terrain Operator to work for one of the worlds leading mining companies. There is currently 2/1 and 8/6 rosters working 12 hour days with meals and accommodation paid for on site.
Required experience;
- Highly competent in the use of mobile plant equipment (Dozer D7 – D8 D9, Excavator 30 ton and Grader 140 H & M Series).
- Good understanding of the mechanical workings of the equipment.
- Very good knowledge of earthmoving techniques employed in the preparation and rehabilitation of the drill pads.
- Experience in steep terrain developing pads and tracks for exploration is essential.
- Good computer skills for accessing permits and information relating to the job including machine guidance.
- Minimum 4-5 years earthmoving experience in a similar role is essential, and a strong knowledge of earthworks practices in steep terrain
- Previous experience working within the mining industry, ideally also in an earthworks role within the mining industry
Essential:
- Valid Drivers Licence
- WA Residency
- Ability to work remote
