CSA Mine is a high-grade underground copper mine located in Cobar, Central Western NSW. Employing over 300 people, CSA Mine is now looking for a new member to join a dynamic team.

We are currently looking to recruit a Long Term Planning Engineer to join our Technical Services Department, reporting to the Senior Long Term Planning Engineer.

Responsibilities

Develop long term (> 12 months) mine designs and schedules that will enable production targets to be achieved in a safe and cost efficient manner
Assist in Conducting detailed mining studies on alternative mining methods for future production
Liaise with members of the Technical Services Department to ensure alignment between long term and short term strategies / targets / constraints
Assess and record all relevant mining capacities / constraints and verify annual scheduling rates
Prepare depletion voids and other tasks in preparation of annual resource and reserves estimation
Provide general technical assistance and contribute ideas to the Technical Services Department
Conduct investigation / research / analysis to inform mine design and methods in line with Industry best practices in terms of safety and cost efficiency
Any other task as directed by your supervisor.

Requirements

Degree in Mining Engineering
Prior experience in mine design and planning / scheduling in underground hard rock mine (open stoping methods with backfill advantageous)
Reasonable capability in Studio 5D Planner and EPS software

This residential role is offered on a Monday to Friday roster.
