The Role
In response to the Company’s continuing growth and operational success, two new roles have been created to accommodate our expanding crew!
We are currently seeking suitably experienced Proficiency Trainer’s to join our Applecross based team, working a 2:1 FIFO (Dayshift) roster across our WA based sites.
Reporting to our Training Superintendent, these roles will be responsible for providing our frontline mining operations with the knowledge and experience in operator proficiency to drive continual improvement in fleet efficiency and mine optimisation. This will include the implementation of specific assessment criteria along with the analysis and reporting to drive safe improvement in our mining operations.
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly skilled and experienced All Round Operator of Surface Mobile Equipment who enjoys engaging with people, with firsthand knowledge and understanding of operator proficiency, including but not limited to fuel efficiencies, reducing fleet wear and tear, load optimization, best practice operating techniques and the prevention of down time.
Your Responsibilities
- Upskill operators to ensure appropriate and efficient operation of machinery and best practices
- Perform proficiency based activities and assessments of Operators;
- Analysis and identification of proficiency-opportunities in the open pit operations;
- Formulate proficiency initiatives, approaches and supporting documents;
- Implement and deliver proficiency training programs to Operators;
- Review performance of equipment, personnel and mining production on a continuous basis.
Your Experience
- 8 year + direct experience within the mining/heavy mobile plant industry;
- Demonstrated background and performance in the safe and efficient operation of surface mobile equipment;
- Experience in delivering high level proficiency training to frontline staff;
- Proven ability to work proactively with Supervision to drive a safe and proficient front line mining operation.
