PHC Group is an independent, well-established company specializing in servicing conveyor systems, both underground and surface operations in the Newcastle/Hunter region.  We are currently seeking a number of experienced Mechanical Fitters and Belt splicers to fill positions to help us service the growing demand from our customers.

Fitters will need to use a range of tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery and equipment to operational standards both in workshop or site conditions. Work includes the identification of defective or worn mechanical components or equipment, repair/replace of worn/faulty components or equipment and modifications. Parts may be repaired or manufactured using the general application of workshop machines. Mechanical fitters also use precision measuring instruments to check parts for accuracy and fit.

If you hold a current NSW drivers license and have had a minimum of 5 years' experience.

We are also seeking a number of experienced conveyor belt splicers to fill positions to help us service the growing demand from our customers.

If you hold a current NSW drivers license and have had a minimum of 2 years' experience in splicing/ Installation of, Steel Cord, Fabric and Solid Woven belts we welcome your application.

Additional qualifications such as a riggers ticket, forklift or truck driver's license would be an advantage.

Must have Certificate 3 in polymer processing.

All Successful applicants should be prepared to work Monday to Friday with extended hours when required along with weekend overtime.
