CuDECO Limited owns and operates the 3.0Mtpa Rocklands Copper Mine situated near the town of Cloncurry, 121kms east of Mt Isa in N.W. Queensland. CuDECO Rocklands Copper Mine is looking for a highly driven and relationship focused IT Support Officer with experience working in a remote mining environment. It is imperative that the person in this role is technically astute with a willingness and ability to learn quickly as we use a large variety of ICT infrastructure including but not limited to:
- Server - VMware ESX 5.5, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 2010, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, Oracle 11.2.0.
- Network - Dell / Force10 network switches, Cisco routers, Wave1 and Ubiquiti wireless (point- 2-point and mesh), fibre optic and CAT5E / CAT6 cabling.
- Microsoft Windows 7 Pro / 10 Pro
- ERP and other business applications - IFS, BundyPlus, HR3 Payroll, DataShed.
- 2-way Radio - Motorola and Vertex handheld and mobile.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and effective delivery of IT support services which includes the provision of technical advice, problem identification and resolution, and troubleshooting. They will be required to deliver a high-level of customer service which is proactive, cooperative and dependable by analysing user needs and developing a strong rapport with staff and vendors.
The candidate will also be required to support our corporate office based in Brisbane either remotely or by attending the Brisbane office when required.
Requirements
- Cert IV in Information Technology or similar or equivalent relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience working in a remote mining environment
- Demonstrated experience providing hands-on IT support
- Understanding of IT Infrastructure
This role is a full-time permanent position with FIFO arrangements from Brisbane on a 9:5 roster (travel in on Wednesdays and out on Thursdays). We offer an attractive compensation package and all meals and accommodations will be provided for you when you are on-shift.
