Exciting new opportunities have become available within our Boddington operation for Mechanical Maintenance Supervisors on an 8:7:7:6 roster, so there will be plenty of time to enjoy the lifestyle this area can offer you

Purpose

The position is responsible for ensuring all High Voltage electrical installations and work at the Boddington Gold Mine complies with all relevant statutory and safety requirements. The Electrical Supervisor HV Shovels will provide technical support to the HV Electrical Technicians. The Electrical Supervisor HV Shovels manages a workforce of trade’s people supplemented by contractors for additional labour, specialist skills and equipment to maintain the Loading fleet at Newmont Boddington Gold. The Electrical Supervisor HV Shovels must ensure that the maintenance team interacts efficiently with other maintenance support personnel, the operating areas, external parties including supply authorities, statutory bodies and other site departments in the performance of the works.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible to ensure the Loading equipment maintenance activities support the operational process meeting its targets.
  • Responsible for Scheduling and allocating staff and resources to ensure all targets are achieved and exceeded in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Ensure execution of work in completed in accordance with the work management system (WMS), Management Operating System (MOS)
  • Manage and Monitor Compliance to the WMS and MOS Systems
  • Provide direction, support and act as a technical reference point for members of your team ensuring outputs are in line with exceeding or meeting Targets, Plans and Budget
  • Assist with monitoring and controlling for the Electrical Capital and Maintenance Budget
  • Ensure staff resources are effective and efficiently deployed and team members undertake appropriate training and development to meet the needs of the business

Skills & Experience

  • Electrical Trade Qualification with 5 years diverse electrical experience as an electrical supervisor on large mobile mining equipment..
  • W.A. Electrical Workers License - A Grade. Endorsed Electrical Mechanic
  • The ability to obtain or hold the Site Electrical Nominee License
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and standards
  • Significant High Voltage Switching and HV power reticulation experience
  • Ability to lead work teams and apply analytical think in problem solving.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously and work under pressure is essential.
  • Mobile Maintenance Supervisory experience
  • Ability to mentor area execution teams in predictive technologies and tools.
