Downer at Meandu Mine are currently building a mine control and improvement hub where fleet execution and continuous improvement are enabled and owned and by our mine control function.
We are seeking a team of enthusiastic mining dispatchers that are experienced in increasing truck productivity and initiating analysis and improvement projects utilising fleet management technology and its data.
Key accountabilities for this role include:
- Fleet allocation & optimisation in line with mine plan
- Dispatching of equipment and personnel
- Supporting supervisors in overcoming obstacles on shift
- Upholding integrity in all data and its reporting
- Analysis of fleet management data & shift results
- Identification of truck productivity improvement initiatives
- Site stakeholder communication and engagement
- Improvement project planning and execution
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- An awareness of hazards, control of risk and a commitment to safety
- An ability to work both in a team and self-directed
- Leadership skills and the ability to deliver and take on feedback
- Well established experience in mine dispatching using a fleet management system
- Demonstrate an in depth understanding of coal mining operational methods
- Demonstrate effective written, verbal and presentation skills
- Understand fleet management data and its use in influencing improvement outcomes
