Seeking an experienced Plant Metallurgist for a permanent opportunity in Mt Isa
Your new company
With operational sites in Queensland and across Australia, this mining house ensures strategic forward planning approaches are taken to its mining methods. This mining house requires an experienced Plant Metallurgist for a permanent role in Mt Isa.
Your new role
Reporting into the Process Manager you will be responsible for providing technical support to the operations and maintenance management team. This will also include evaluating, developing and progress various metallurgical projects to help increase reconciliation. You will be required to support and advance critical equipment design, including mill linings, flotation cells, magnetic separators, thickeners, filters and sampling systems. This role is based in Mt Isa so applicants must be prepared to relocate for the position, full relocation allowances are available.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need a tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Mineral Processing. A strong background in project management, concentrator and/or smelter process improvements and project work, risk management improvement opportunities and preferably have knowledge and experience in ore characterisation, mineralogy and flotation test work. You will need to be competent with computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, Ellipse, TM1 and OSI Soft PI.
