New Hope Group will commence operations of Burton Mine, a site new to the New Hope Group Portfolio.  We are seeking interest from potential team members to join our Operations Leadership team to develop our operational ways of working and to shape the site culture for our incoming teams.

We are looking for a Production Superintendent to join our Operations team, this role will report directly to the Operations Manager (SSE).  As the Production Superintendent you will primarily be responsible for leading a successful Mining Operations team. Your key areas of responsibility will include:

• Participate as a senior leader to establish a productive and engaged culture;
• Effectively build and lead Mining team and on-boarding of key contractors to site;
• Deliver the Operations Readiness requirements for a successful operation;
• Leading the Mining Operation team to ensure the safe, productive delivery of the Mine plan.
• Contribute to the development of the Burton SHMS in relation to operational maintenance activities;

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate:

• Collaborative, energetic and hands-on leadership style to foster a safe, positive, performance driven operation;
• Technical expertise in relation to Mining Operations, relevant tertiary qualifications and/or operations background would be an advantage;
• An advocate for developing innovative thinking in Mining operations and broader site team;
• Leadership of teams to foster an engaged and successful working environment;
• Recent experience leading mining operations teams required;
• Experience in re-establishing mine sites that were previously in care and maintenance would be an advantage.
