Maintenance Scheduler – Capcoal Surface Operations
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent you will be responsible for developing and communicating the short and medium term maintenance plans to the maintenance department. You will interact with the team of maintenance planners, superintendents and supervisors to ensure targeted work output and performance is achieved and maintained. You will also provide technical support to the Maintenance Department where required, enabling the operation to drive the delivery of key performance targets, ensuring optimal availability of all equipment and facilities whilst budgeted cost objectives are achieved.
You will be responsible for the planning of various Light vehicle and auxiliary fleets.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include the following:
- Provide a complete work order package by planning, estimating, scoping and scheduling of maintenance works
- Ensure effective planning and forecasting is carried out for all maintenance repairs, servicing and inspections;
- Preparing and arranging detailed labour, parts and equipment requirements;
- Preparing work schedules, project plans as well as job instructions and procedures; and
- Safety management plans
- Development and maintenance of APL’s and Standard Job’s.
- Assist in the planning for site light vehicles and auxiliary fleet
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following:
- Experience in a Scheduling role preferably in the mining industry
- Trades supervisory experience highly regarded
- Front line maintenance management highly regarded
- Knowledge of maintenance work control process and requirements
- Knowledge of Maintenance KPIs and reporting
- Knowledge of downtime reporting systems
- Knowledge of MS Project
- CMMS experience (Ellipse preferred) is highly regarded
