Southern Alpine Resort Management Board (Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort) is Melbourne’s closest downhill ski resort and boasts over 30 hectares of downhill terrain and 30km of cross country ski trails. Located only 1 hour from the heart of Gippsland they are a popular destination for all snow enthusiasts. Gearing up for their white season influx they are urgently seeking a temporary HR Assistant, starting as soon as possible with the possibility of work until the end of October.
The required hours are 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
Assisting the HR manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Interviewing candidates
- Conducting reference checks on shortlisted candidates
- Processing on/off boarding documentation
- Updating online HR registries
- Assisting with staff HR queries
- Administration of new employee contracts
- Attending meetings and taking minutes
- Diary management
- Assisting with the administration of WorkCover claims
- Any other ad hoc duties as directed
It is preferred that you have a background in HR or at least experience with the fundamentals of this role as outlined above. It is also essential that you have a strong grasp of all Microsoft Office suites. You will have an excellent understanding of process compliance and display a professional and approachable demeanour.
To be successful for this role you must have a valid Working with Children’s Check (or be willing to obtain one) and you must be willing to undergo a drug/alcohol screening test in addition to a police check.
