We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised retail trade experienced leader who has plenty of initiative and motivation to be The Family Store Manager.
The role reports directly to The local Salvation Army Officer and assists the local Salvation Army Church raise funds to conduct work and support programs assisting those in need within the local community.
Ideally you will have experience in the retail business sector and be confident and comfortable leading a small employed team and a dedicated group of local volunteers.
You will be required to identify and incorporate business and staffing opportunities that improve donated stock acquisition and turnover, enhance cash sales income and improve outreach service to the local community.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have:
- Previous experience in retail management
- Capability in the conduct of cash handling, banking, reconciliations and EFTPOS transactions
- Proven experience in retail trade display and effective stock rotation and product pricing
- Competent organisation and administrative skills
- Proven experience in staff rostering and staff and customer issues management
- People management skills with an emphasis on providing a positive retail customer experience and ensuring positive engagement with volunteers and the community.
- A commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (not L plates)
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Criminal History Record Check and adhere to The Salvation Army’s Code of Conduct including Business Dealings.
