About the organisation

Woden Community Service (WCS) is a not for profit that has been providing community-based services for over 45 years. Our vision is to build and nurture a vibrant and connected community, working closely with the community.

We deliver a wide range of services on behalf of the ACT and Australian Governments’ across the ACT and region. We employ almost 400 permanent and casual staff and have an active volunteer program with over 80 volunteers.

WCS provides services covering a cross-section of the community from children, families, young people and seniors including disability, housing, refugee and mental health services.

About the role

An opportunity currently exists for an energetic, driven and proactive Marketing and Communications Manager to join WCS as the organisation takes on a range of new and exciting projects.

As the Marketing & Communications Manager, your role will entail the development and implementation of diverse and innovative marketing strategies, managing the website and social media presence and overseeing key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Working closely with the Executive and Leadership teams, your role will also involve producing high quality documentation and engaging collaboratively across the organisation to improve marketing and communications’ service delivery.

About you

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating outcomes from marketing and communications campaigns that led to achieving strategic and operational goals.

The ideal candidate will also take a proactive approach, have highly effective interpersonal skills, an ability to prioritise time-sensitive workflows and possess a continual improvement mindset to drive best practice marketing methodologies throughout the organisation.

A proven capacity to oversee public relations including digital and social media management, website management, content creation and media relations, coupled with an ability to liaise at an executive level are also essential to be successful in this role.

Tertiary qualifications in a related field would be highly regarded, as would significant experience in marketing, corporate communications, media and stakeholder relations and business development.
