Key responsibilities:

  • Manage maintenance of Goodwin's digital presence including updating online directory listings, updating Goodwin website content, keeping website news sections regularly populated, and posting to social media.
  • Assist with evaluation and strategic planning of online activities.
  • Assist with internal organisational communication to employees and volunteers.
  • Under direction, draft and coordinate production of the organisation's publications such as, newsletters and brochures, and advertisements.
  • Liaise with various Goodwin business areas, residents and clients to source articles, testimonials and manage resource needs. Close liaison with activities and lifestyle areas to photograph and write news based on regular resident activities.
  • Coordinate outsourced services and liaise with service providers such as printers, designers and marketing agencies.
  • Assist with the coordination of Goodwin events, Goodwin presence at public events.
  • Provide administration assistance including invoicing, record keeping, and managing stock of collateral and image libraries.
  • Pro-actively contribute to discussions on improving Goodwin's communication and marketing strategy.

To apply you must have:

  • Tertiary qualifications and at least three years' experience in communication and/or public relations and/or journalism
  • Ability to develop a range of communication materials including web content and collateral, with ability to coordinate production and demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Journalistic writing ability such as news articles, media releases and speeches.
  • Sound copy writing skills to draft advertisement or web page content
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse relationships with staff, clients, residents and contractors (such as designers and printers)
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms, capacity to update website content, ability to quickly learn online systems and keep knowledge up to date
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation to assist in the development of new marketing and communication strategies and/or materials
  • Ability to use Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is desirable
