About the business and the role
The Ausway College is a growing institute in vocational education. The college has established a branch in Tasmania. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Public Relations Professional to join our team in Tasmania, reporting to the superior manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing public relations activities.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Developing and organizing publicity campaigns and events to promote image and publicity of our college;
- Controlling media releases. Creating, editing and reviewing illustrative materials, such as articles and photographs, to create favourable publicity;
- Representing our college at business and social functions;
- Organizing interviews for college executives on public relations matters;
- Directing public opinion survey and analysing results in order to improve public relations strategies;
- Advising the superior manager on the development and implementation of public relations approaches.
Skills and experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Public Relation role or a similar role;
- Experience in working in educational institutions;
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, oral and written communication skills;
- Proficient in English and Mandarin language skills;
- Established connections with education institutions are highly preferable;
- Good time management;
- Being able to take occasional travels.
