Assistant Product Manager Role
GME designs, engineers, manufactures and distributes world-class radio communication equipment including; two-way radio communications, marine electronics, emergency locator beacons, telemetry and data radio products.
We are seeking to recruit a Assistant Product Manager to fit into our dynamic Marine and Land Product Management team, located in our custom built head office in Winston Hills.
In this role you will be required to do the following:
- Assists in the management of the Land / Marine product portfolios
- Conducts detailed Market Research as directed by the Senior Product Manager, analyses the data and provides recommendations on priorities for Product Development, in-line with corporate strategy
- Defines pricing strategy and structure for specific products within the portfolio
- Develops marketing plans and short-term promotional strategies to assist in the delivery of long term market share and business growth
- Analyses industry trends, identifies new product opportunities and helps to build business cases to support commercial investment
- Monthly sales forecasting
- Financial budget creation, management, and tracking
- Manages ongoing maintenance of product portfolio website pages / microsites
- Prepares and conducts product training sessions with sales representatives and key stakeholders
- Manages the development and production of Point-Of-Sale material with external suppliers
- Develop packaging, promotional and retail point-of-sale materials and advertising campaigns in partnership with in-house graphic design team and external agencies
- Manages the planning and coordination of industry events and national conferences on the marketing calendar
- Any other duties as directed / required
To be successful in this position, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Product Marketing position (Marketing Assistant / Assistant Product Manager)
- Marketing Degree / Diploma
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
- Self-motivated and able to work consistently and effectively with multiple deadlines
- Positive attitude and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks
- Ability to work with a variety of internal/ external stakeholders
- Interest in 4WD / Marine industries highly desirable but not mandatory
