About the opportunity

We have a 6 month fixed term contract opportunity available until the end of December 2018 in our People, Safety and Environment group for a Senior Internal Communications Advisor.

This role supports the delivery of high quality internal communications advice and planning, as well as the maintenance/evolution of enterprise internal communication channels and coordination of content. It also supports the Internal Communications Manager in the delivery of Jemena’s enterprise internal communication strategies and plans. 

What we’re looking for

Tertiary qualified in communications, journalism or a related discipline, the successful candidate will have experience working in corporate communications for an organisation with a broad employee base spanning corporate as well as field teams. You will also have demonstrated success in internal communications planning, advisory and content development. 

You will bring with you the following skills and experience:

  • Writing, developing and coordinating the production of internal communications – digital and print collateral
  • Experience in Communication activity to support organisational change
  • Seeking and coordinating ‘bottom up’ content, particularly across digital internal channels (including intranet, Yammer, video, digital signage)
  • Intranet governance and familiarity with SharePoint
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/PowerPoint and other relevant software packages
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with people at all levels
  • Highly organised and ability to juggle competing priorities
