We currently have an opportunity for an analytically minded individual to join our Marketing team as a Customer Insights Specialist.  This role will see you planning and implementing customer research for multiple parts of the business. 

Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality, you will provide high level of quantitative and qualitative customer insights to help Marketing shape customer/brand strategies as well as the following responsibilities;

  • Responsible for liaising with internal clients to understand research needs and preparing market research briefs;
  • Responsible for managing research agencies to complete research projects that are delivered on time, to specification and within budget;
  • Jointly responsible for managing the online customer research community
  • Responsible for leading research agencies & stakeholders in the analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative research to identify customer insights and commercial opportunities;
  • Responsible for stakeholder engagement and management to ensure research findings are ‘correctly’ interpreted and applied.

To meet the challenges of this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience;

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business/Marketing or similar (ideally combined with further formal training in Market Research and have obtained your QPMR)
  • Prior experience in a similar combined qual/quant role (ideally with having worked either within a retailer or on a retail account within a research company.
  • Advanced knowledge and commercial experience with research techniques and their implementation in a retail environment
  • Questionnaire writing skills
  • Managing a customer community panel including general liaison, running qualitative discussions and programming small quantitative questionnaires
  • Ability to interpret research results, including internal customer analytics data and other secondary data sources and develop customer insights and commercial opportunities
  • Quantitative and analytical skills, including interpreting cross-tabulations and sales data
  • Report and presentation writing skills
  • Communication skills, including influencing skills and presentation skills
