The Communications Officer is a key part of the Communications Account Service team responsible for working with internal stakeholders to create and deliver internal and external communications.

This is an opportunity to create communications strategies and plans, as well as implement and manage a broad range of tactical activities relating to the promotion of Australia’s National Digital Health Strategy and My Health Record program.

Once appointed into this role, you will provide expert communications advice to the Agency’s internal teams including research based insights that will align the marketing strategy with Agency’s strategic objectives.

Your passion is consulting with executives, portfolio line areas and business unit leads to extract information, foster effective internal communication and collaboration, and enhance awareness and understanding of Agency programs and services.

The role, reporting to the Manager Communications will contribute to the breadth of communications activities including but not limited to: media, content creative, brand identity, digital and social media, editorial, graphic design, corporate communications, internal communications and events.

The Communications Officer will provide a wide range of experience, knowledge and skills, including, but not limited to:

• Develop and implement agile communication strategies for clients and write content to promote the client’s programs and services via owned, earned, shared and paid channels
• Support the Director Communications to deliver the broader integrated communications strategy
• Analysis and evaluation of campaigns, establishing a measurement framework and writing marketing reports based on key metrics and best practice evaluation with view to informing future marketing actions
• Engage and consult all business units in the client's to ensure effective promotion of programs and provide excellent customer service and attention to detail
• Work collaboratively with the broader communications team to deliver strategic and tactical communications activities - for both internal and external audiences

• You will have experience in developing and implementing communications strategies and plans that reach internal and/ or external audiences
• You will be experienced in developing internal stakeholder relationships and working across multiple projects and competing priorities in a busy team
• Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in journalism, public affairs, communications, marketing or stakeholder engagement is highly desirable

Experience in the health or government sector would be highly regarded
