Henkel's Laundry and Homecare team Trade Marketing Manager is responsible the for using insight capability to optimise Retail Activation, using tools like shopper research, consumer research and customer data as the basis for category plans. Through their success, they help steer the growth of the Henkel business.

Skills and experience

  • Strong experience within Trade/Shopper/Retail Marketing across FMCG
  • Experience in managing complex projects, even when faced with challenges
  • Customer service orientated mindset and ethic
  • Excellent time management, planning, attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Outstanding stakeholder management, inter-personal and communication skills
  • Results oriented, entrepreneurial, proactive and self-motivating.
  • Degree qualified with at least a 2-3 year’s relevant work experience

Key responsibilities

  • Go-To-Market Excellence: the key Sales Team lead for all new and existing product implementations. Working closely with the marketing team to manage the NPD timeline and requirements for our sales team ensuring deliverables for category reviews are met.
  • Point of Sale Development: develop a range of innovative POS concepts aligned with brand objectives and customer needs to support outstanding in store execution of Laundry & Homecare brands.  Manage the POS agency relationship and budget Co-ordinate the artwork creation with designer to ensure an impactful presence. Manage the POP budget.
  • Shopper Marketing: work with the Category Managers and the Sales Teams to develop activation plans based on category strategies, translating brand plans into tangible sales results, partnering with account teams to unlock category driving initiatives. Conducting post program analysis – reviewing return on investment (ROI) and identifying improvements for future.
  • Space Management: manage our space management process, developing a clear plan-o-gram (POG) strategy based upon the insights and direction from the Category Development Plan. Build strong internal and retailer relationships to execute the Henkel POG strategy.
  • Product & Trade Systems: manage the relationship with products data services ensuring integrity across all trade related systems.
