We are a small manual jobbing workshop, based in Acacia Ridge, and require an experienced Machinist / Fitter and Turner.
DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE NO MANUAL MACHINING EXPERIENCE.
As part of the role, the successful applicant must have experience with manual lathes, mills, slotter and tig/mig welding (welding not necessary, but will be looked upon favourably). Experience in breakdown, shutdown and maintenance work also favoured
All applicants must have the following;
- Trade qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- High mechanical engineering understanding
- Experience in reading and interpreting plans and drawings, problem solve and work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work to a high standard and complete jobs on-time
- Positive attitude
The position is 38 hours per week, starting on a casual basis with a view to moving to full time permanent, if successful.
