The British Museum is seeking a Service Operations Analyst to provide specialist and technical end-user support services across the whole Museum and ensure the continued operation of Museum information systems to agreed service levels.
In this role, you will work on the IS Helpdesk with colleagues to respond to a variety of user requests, problems and enquiries. You will prioritise and resolve reported faults, in line with agreed service levels and schedules and, as required, mobilise and monitor third-party support organisations.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in a structured support environment, in a helpdesk and/or problem resolution role. A strong understanding of Windows desktop deployment services and management of client-server technologies is essential.
With a flexible and professional approach, you will be able to respond to situations as they arise and remain calm under pressure. As a strong communicator, you will work well in a team and will be able to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
