  • Establishing the key technical principles of the tennis serve for wheelchair tennis players from both a performance and injury perspective;
  • And if avenues permit – exploring the chair ergonomics/ propulsion technique and technological developments to maximise on court athlete performance.

The findings will help to inform guidelines on wheelchair tennis coaching and player development to improve performance and minimise injury risk. The study will also benefit from the Tennis Foundation facilities and access to wheelchair tennis players.
