Applications are invited for up to THREE Post-doctoral Researchers to work with Professor Manos Tsakiris as part of the European Research Council Project “Inside the Self: from interoception to self- and social-awareness”, dependent on funding being confirmed by ERC. The project will investigate the neural, physiological and cognitive mechanisms that underpin interoception and intreroceptive awareness with a particular focus on embodiment, social relations and early development.
Applicants should have a PhD in psychology or neuroscience, a strong background in behavioural, psychophysiological and neuroimaging (fMRI and/or EEG) methods, and strong abilities in data analysis and computational methods in cognitive neurosciences and psychophysiology. Expertise in social neuroscience and/or developmental psychology research is highly desirable.

The Psychology Department, located in Egham, close to Central London, has an excellent research profile (rated 6th in the latest Research Excellence Framework) and benefits from state-of-the-art research facilities (e.g. MRI, TMS, EEG, cognitive behavioural testing suites, Babylab).
