Pembroke College, Oxford, wishes to appoint a software engineer or Quill Junior Research Fellow in Computer Science from 1 October 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter, for a full-time post for one year. The person appointed will be required to undertake software development in support of the Quill Project, which develops software for the study of negotiated texts.
Details of the project can be found at http://www.quillproject.net. The project recently won the best paper award at the JCDL 2017 conference, and leads the Negotiated Text Network, details of which can be found at http://torch.ox.ac.uk/negotiations.
The post is open to those who wish to apply for the post either as a software engineering post only, or as a Quill Junior Research Fellowship (a postdoctoral position).
This post is funded by a grant from the Fell Fund for a period of one year, and is not renewable. The appointment will be made on the University’s grade 6 (£27,629 - £32,958 p.a.) or grade 7 (£31,076 - £38,183 p.a.) salary scales, depending on skills and experience.
