The position is for a Research Associate funded by the Children with Cancer Charity in the Cancer Section of the Department of Developmental Biology and Cancer at the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, University College London.

The post holder will join an established team of scientists developing and delivering advanced cell therapies to children. The post holder will lead the development of a new treatment approach based on BiTEs, antibody-based compounds designed to redirect the patient’s T-cells engineered to recognize neuroblastoma tumours cells, an aggressive childhood tumour. The work will comprise of preclinical studies to select to optimal BiTE design, in vivo modelling and development into a clinical grade compound.

This post is available of 24 months in the first instance.

Applicants must have PhD degree (or thesis submitted) subject relevant subject. Applicant must have experience in cellular immunology assays, culture of human and murine cells, molecular cloning and handling of mice.
