The School of Geography, Politics and Sociology at Newcastle University seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Economic Geography and Urban and Regional Development tenable from October 2017. The Lectureship will be based in the Centre for Urban and Regional Development Studies (CURDS) in Geography within the School. CURDS aims to produce academically rigorous and policy relevant research and contribute to teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We are open to applications from any area of economic geography related to urban and regional development broadly defined, especially with reference to the CURDS research themes of people and places, innovation and technology, finance and services, and institutions and governance (see http://www.ncl.ac.uk/curds/40th/). You will be expected to make contributions to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and to undertake supervision of postgraduate students.
