Part time - 18.5 hours per weekThe Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology is seeking to appoint a permanent Sample Machinist - Technical Support to provide manufacturing and technical support for the fashion and textile programmes. Applicants must possess relevant qualifications and/or experience, and demonstrate a clear commitment to enhancing the student experience.
The postholder will have proven industry experience of garment/pattern construction and manufacturing sewing skills with a knowledge and understanding of contemporary fashion construction and finishes. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate technical ability.
As the role will be supporting students with project work, candidates will need to possess the following attributes;
- Friendly and approachable manner
- Good communication and listening skills
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
