Full-time or part-time hours considered (minimum 0.5 FTE) Fixed Term Contract until 30 September 2018 Please note this is also being advertised at a Level 7.
You will give advice on medical statistics and/or research methods to health and social care professionals and researchers in response to requests through the Research Design Service for the West Midlands (RDS WM) and give statistical input to collaborative health science research projects within Warwick Medical School.
You will also conduct your own research in medical statistics or epidemiology in an area in line with the Warwick Medical School Research Strategy and in discussion with your line manager.
You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in a discipline relevant to medical statistics. You will also have substantial experience in the application of statistical methods in research in health sciences demonstrated by a strong potential or track record of published research. For the Senior Research Fellow position, you will also have proven ability to generate external funding as a Principal Investigator or co-applicant.
You will be able to write about research in styles accessible to academic and non-academic audiences and have effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills enabling you to collaborate effectively with a wide range of people from different disciplines. You will also have a proven ability to support clinicians or less experienced researchers in developing research proposals for peer reviewed funding streams.
